Harrison Chernick
Director of Culinary Operations – Corporate Culinary OperationsHarry is a seasoned culinary leader with a passion for innovative, ingredient-driven cuisine and a proven track record of building and scaling successful restaurant concepts. He returns to the MINA Group as an additional Director of Culinary who will be overseeing Northern California-Hawaii-Mountain Towns. Harry brings years of experience across fine dining, global openings, and multi-concept culinary leadership.
Chernick began his culinary career with the MINA Group at Bourbon Steak DC after graduating from the Culinary Institute of Amercia. He later relocated to San Francisco, taking on key roles across several of the group’s flagship concepts, including MINA Test Kitchen, PABU Izakaya, The Ramen Bar, and the Michelin-starred MICHAEL MINA.
During his tenure, Chef Chernick played an integral role in the launch and evolution of numerous acclaimed MINA Group restaurants worldwide, including International Smoke, Margeaux Brasserie, The Street, StripSteak, INDIE SUPERETTE, MINA’s Fish House, and Wit & Wisdom. His work has spanned concept development, opening execution, culinary systems, and operational leadership across diverse markets.
Seeking a new creative perspective, Chernick spent a year at Avra Beverly Hills under renowned restaurateur Marc Packer, where he deepened his expertise in Mediterranean cuisine, emphasizing pristine seafood, simplicity, and market-driven execution. He most recently returned to the Bay Area to work with Le Bon Temps Restaurant Group in Oakland, contributing to the development and opening of multiple new restaurant concepts.
