Talent Acquisition Manager – Recruiting

Michael Bates is the Talent Acquisition Manager of MINA Group, a San Francisco-based restaurant management company founded by James Beard Award-winning Chef Michael Mina. MINA Group specializes in developing and operating innovative full-service dining concepts and currently owns and operates more than 30 restaurants across the US and Dubai, including Bourbon Steak, Orla, and Aqua Bistecca. In his role, Michael leads the company’s recruitment efforts and college/university relations.

Michael's nearly two decades of leadership experience span the restaurant, hospitality, resort sectors. He has held senior positions with Walt Disney Swan & Dolphin Resort, MGM Resorts International, and Wynn Resorts, where he drove training and compliance initiatives and operational transformation.

A graduate of the Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports/Event/Entertainment Management.
