About the Role:
As the Assistant General Manager: Restaurant, Revenue & Events at StripSteak, you are a strategic hospitality leader responsible for supporting all aspects of restaurant operations while driving private dining revenue, guest engagement, and financial performance.
In partnership with the General Manager and Executive Chef, you will help lead the dining room, oversee labor and administrative systems, support financial reporting, and collaborate with the Events and Marketing teams to grow revenue through private dining, VIP engagement, and on-brand activations.
This role blends operational leadership with commercial accountability. You will maintain a strong floor presence while contributing to sales growth, cost control, employee development, compliance, and elevated guest experiences consistent with Mina Group standards.
What You’ll Do
Restaurant Operations & Service Leadership
Support daily dining room operations and uphold Mina Group service standards.
Maintain a strong and visible floor presence during service, coaching and developing team members in real time.
Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate VIP notes, service priorities, and business updates.
Oversee Hosts, Captains, and FOH leaders to ensure seamless guest flow and hospitality excellence.
Continuously improve operational effectiveness, service quality, and employee engagement.
Revenue Growth, Events & VIP Engagement
Partner with the Events Department to proactively drive private dining and buyout revenue.
Conduct site tours, client meetings, and walkthroughs for prospective private event guests.
Serve as on-site lead during private events to ensure flawless execution and guest satisfaction.
Cultivate relationships with VIP and high-profile guests to drive repeat business and referrals.
Maintain an active pipeline of private dining leads and track performance metrics.
Collaborate with Marketing and PR to promote special events and revenue-driving programming.
Financial & Labor Management
Assist in preparing weekly and monthly financial reporting, including P&L participation.
Monitor labor performance and ensure scheduling aligns with budgeted targets.
Audit payroll and labor reports; ensure accuracy and compliance.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Identify opportunities to improve revenue, manage costs, and increase profitability.
HR, Talent & Culture
Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and employee development initiatives.
Administer corrective action in alignment with Mina Group policies.
Serve as liaison with Human Resources to ensure compliance and best practices.
Foster a culture rooted in accountability, mentorship, and hospitality excellence.
Actively support internal promotion and career pathing within the FOH team.
Administrative & Systems Oversight
Maintain operational reporting, office organization, and compliance documentation.
Ensure menus (including private dining menus) are formatted, accurate, and updated.
Support POS, reservation systems, and IT troubleshooting in coordination with corporate partners.

Basic Qualifications
4+ years of experience in a fine dining, high-volume restaurant
Minimum 1 year in a leadership role
Hospitality degree preferred
Advanced knowledge of food & wine (Level 1 Somm certification a plus)
Working knowledge of HR practices and labor law
Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Ability to work 40+ hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Compensation:
$80,000-$90,000 annually + Commission on Event Sales
